Festival & Conference Squares

The Exchange business district offers two large squares providing in excess of 1500m2 of high quality, well maintained event space in Edinburgh City Centre.

The area is in the heart of the City's financial district, close to main access points for rail and road, and home to the Edinburgh International Conference Centre and Sheraton Grand Hotel.

The squares are managed on behalf of occupying businesses and the local authority by ECCM.  All event proposals are circulated amongst the key stakeholders within the Exchange for approval – which will take approximately two weeks.  If proposals are suitable for the Exchange a booking form and license agreement will be sent out.

Events hosted in the squares since 2003 have included touring Continental markets, an Alfa Romeo promotional launch, the Edinburgh Television Festival, a Lavazza promotional coffee bar and a Bombay Sapphire art event.

The Exchange also has a Warden service, which provides dedicated environmental maintenance in both squares from Monday to Friday.  This service is also managed by ECCM.
